What Panache Means. And Why It Was Just the Beginning
When we launched LUKLIV, we didn’t start with clothes, jewellery, or a scented candle.
We started with a book.
Not just any book. But Panache, a love letter to living with grace, without the pressure to perform. It was our way of saying: here’s to women who dress for themselves, decorate for no one else, and take breaks not because they’re lazy, but because they’re wise.
In French, “panache” means a kind of effortless confidence. Not loud. Not showy. Just quietly radiant. It’s the woman who wears linen in winter because it feels right. The one who mixes vintage with new, because rules don’t apply in her home. It’s the city dweller who finds joy in countryside slowness, and the rural soul who thrives in cities. It’s a style with heart.
Why We Began With a Book
Panache was never just meant to sit pretty on your coffee table (though we’ll admit — it does that beautifully).
It was always more than a book.
It was a beginning.
A way to pour the world of LUKLIV. Its values, textures, contradictions, and charm into something physical. Something that could be held, flipped through slowly, passed between friends, left open on a page that made you feel seen. We wanted our first creation to be more than useful. We wanted it to connect.
We chose a book because books carry stories, and stories are what hold us together across cities and fields, across generations and dinner tables.
LUKLIV is built on stories.
Your stories.
The feeling of walking home from a market in the countryside, paper bag rustling with peaches, peonies, and fresh bread.
That tiny thrill of finally hanging the mirror you found at a brocante, perfectly imperfect.
The quiet, luxurious moment of choosing what to wear. Not to impress anyone, but simply to feel like yourself.
A moment lit by soft morning light. A memory that clings to the scent of lavender or coffee.
These are not grand stories.
But they are real, and they are rich.
And that is panache.
It’s not about being extravagant. It’s about being alive and embracing that aliveness with tenderness and confidence.
What’s Coming Next
The world of LUKLIV is growing, but not fast.
We are letting it unfold the way the best things in life do: slowly, thoughtfully, with heart.
Every object we bring into the world next is imagined as a natural extension of Lukliv. They’re not things for the sake of things. They are an invitation. To make your home softer. Your style more free. Your everyday life more you.
We’re working on:
Home decor that feels soulful and lived-in, like something you inherited or stumbled across on a lucky afternoon.
Clothing you reach for instinctively, that moves with you from garden to gallery, from café to the countryside lane.
Vintage treasures, full of history and presence, chosen not for perfection, but for character.
We’re not interested in trends. We’re not building collections to launch, forget, and replace. We’re crafting a world you can grow with. A world you can come home to.
Because if Panache was the “why”, a declaration of values, of mood, of pace. Then everything that comes next is the “how”. The way we bring beauty, softness, and authenticity into every corner of your life.
A Gentle Invitation
LUKLIV isn’t about polished lives or curated perfection.
It’s about character.
We believe there’s something quietly rebellious about choosing softness in a world that constantly asks for more.
To slow down.
To create beauty in small ways.
To dress for yourself.
To live as your real, unfiltered, messy, magnificent life is already enough.
Whether you live in the city, the countryside, or somewhere between the two, we hope that LUKLIV feels like a place to land. A place to feel held, inspired, and gently reminded that you don’t need to be anyone else. You only need to be more you.
After all, this was never just a book.
It was a seed. A door. A whisper.
It was a beginning.
And we’re just getting started.
